StudioPartner

Organiser Terms

Last updated 27 September 2026

These are the rules for selling tickets to your event through StudioPartner. They apply from the moment you set up a payout account, and they cover every event you sell through us after that.

We have written them in plain English on purpose. If a line here is unclear, ask us before you agree to it — not after you have sold a ticket.

In these terms, you or the organiser means the studio, company or person running the event. We means StudioPartner. An attendee or buyer is the person who pays for a ticket.

1.What StudioPartner charges

StudioPartner charges a platform fee on every paid ticket sold through the platform. There is one number, and this page is where it is published. The only other amounts that can come off your payout are a dispute fee (section 5) and, on any refund, the gateway charge our payment partner does not return (sections 3 and 4).

6% while you have an active paid StudioPartner subscription.

9% otherwise.

18% GST is charged on that fee, as required by law. You will receive a GST invoice for it.

The fee is all-in

The payment gateway's charge is already inside the percentage above. We do not add it as a second line, and we do not pass it on to you separately. What you see here is what comes off your ticket. The only exceptions are the dispute fee in section 5 and, on any refund, the gateway charge described in sections 3 and 4.

Nothing is charged to the person buying

The ticket price you set is the price your attendee pays. StudioPartner adds no convenience fee, no booking fee and no handling fee at checkout. A ₹1,500 ticket costs ₹1,500.

Free events are always free

If a ticket costs nothing, StudioPartner charges nothing — on every plan, permanently. The fee applies only when money moves.

What you actually receive

On a ₹1,500 ticket:

When you are paid

Your share is released after your event, not when a ticket sells. It reaches your bank usually within three working days after the event ends. Holding the money until then is what makes a refund possible. If it had already left for your bank, a cancellation would land on you.

If you cancel your event

Every attendee is refunded in full — the entire ticket price. StudioPartner's fee is returned too. We do not keep our commission on an event that did not happen, and the attendee is not left paying a fee for a show they never saw. Our payment partner does not return its gateway charge on a refund — about 2.36% of the ticket price — and that one cost is yours: it is deducted from your payout, or owed if your payout is not enough (section 4).

If the rate changes

Any change to the rate above applies to events published after the change. An event you have already published keeps the rate it was published on.

2.How you get paid

Your share of each ticket is separated inside our payment partner's system and settles to the bank account you registered with us.

Your payout is released after your event ends, not when a ticket sells — usually within three working days after the event ends.

We hold it that long because tickets sell weeks ahead. If an event is cancelled, or a buyer is owed a refund, the money has to still be reachable.

If you ever owe us an amount — a refund your payout did not cover, a lost dispute or a dispute fee — it is recovered from your next online payments, up to half of each payment, until it is cleared. If anything is still owed after 30 days, we will send you an invoice and recover the rest from your next online payments in full. If it is still owed after 45 days, online collection (paid event tickets and online fees) is paused until it is cleared.

Your money waits with our payment partner, never in a StudioPartner bank account. We hold your share there until your event is over, then release it. It is your money the whole time.

A paid event cannot go live until your payout account is set up and verified — there would be nowhere for the money to go. Free events need none of this.

Settlement is not instant, and we do not guarantee a date. The timing belongs to our payment partner and to your bank. It depends on their checks, on your KYC status, on the payment method and on bank holidays.

Your payout account has to be active for money to move. If your KYC is incomplete or under review, your share can sit with the payment partner until that clears. We cannot release it for you.

Keep your bank details current. Money sent to a closed or wrong account is slow to recover and that recovery is the bank's process, not ours.

3.Refunds

You set the refund policy for each event. It is shown on the public event page before anyone pays, so a buyer sees it at the moment they decide.

Once an event is published, its refund policy is locked. You cannot change it afterwards — the rule a buyer agreed to is the one that was on screen when they paid.

When a refund is due, your share of that ticket is taken back before your payout is released, and the buyer is paid from us. If your payout has already gone out, the amount comes off a later one.

Our payment partner, Razorpay, does not return its gateway charge on a refund: about 2.36% of the amount refunded. On every refund you issue, that cost is yours. It is deducted from your payout, or owed if your payout is not enough. The one exception is a refund StudioPartner makes on its own, for example when a booking came through after the event was already full. Then we carry it.

If your payout does not cover it, the rest becomes an amount you owe us. It is recovered from your next online payments, up to half of each payment, until it is cleared. If anything is still owed after 30 days, we will send you an invoice and recover the rest from your next online payments in full; after 45 days, online collection (paid event tickets and online fees) is paused until it is cleared.

A buyer cannot cancel their own booking or trigger their own refund. They ask you, and you decide. Every refund on your event is issued by you, from your dashboard — so your contact details need to be reachable on the event page.

Your refund policy is the floor, not the ceiling. You can always choose to refund someone it does not cover. That is your call and your cost.

4.If you cancel an event

If you cancel an event, every buyer is refunded in full.

This applies whatever your refund policy says. A refund policy covers a buyer changing their mind. It does not cover you calling off the event.

Your share of every ticket is taken back, and our platform fee comes off too — we do not keep our fee on an event that did not happen. Buyers get the whole ticket price, not the price minus a fee.

The one cost that stays with you is the gateway charge our payment partner, Razorpay, does not return on a refund: about 2.36% of the ticket price. It is deducted from your payout, or owed if your payout is not enough, and recovered as described in section 2.

Refunds on a cancelled event run automatically once you cancel it. You do not have to refund each booking by hand.

Tell your attendees yourself as well. They booked with you, and hearing it from you first is the difference between a disappointed dancer and an angry one.

5.Chargebacks

A chargeback is when a buyer disputes a payment with their own bank or card company instead of asking you for a refund.

Chargebacks on your events are yours.

  • When a dispute is raised we will tell you and ask for evidence — the booking, the attendance record, what you told the buyer. Send it by the date we give. A dispute you do not answer is one you lose.
  • If a dispute is decided against you, you owe what you received for that ticket. We do not keep our fee on it.
  • The dispute fee charged by our payment partner, Razorpay, is passed on to you at actual, whether the dispute is won or lost.
  • Amounts you owe are recovered from your next online payments, up to half of each payment, until cleared. If anything is still owed after 30 days, we will send you an invoice and recover the rest in full; after 45 days, online collection (paid event tickets and online fees) is paused until it is cleared.

Even where a dispute is decided in your favour, the timing is the bank's. It can take weeks.

6.Your details must be true

The name, PAN, address, bank account and business details you give us are checked by our payment partner. They must be accurate, current, and genuinely yours.

If you give false details, your account is suspended and funds are held until it is resolved.

We may also have to report it. KYC is a legal requirement on us, not an internal preference.

If anything changes — bank account, PAN, registered address, who runs the business — tell us before your next event.

7.What you can sell

Your event must be legal, and it must be yours to run. That includes having the rights and permissions you need for the venue, the music and anything else you are using.

Describe it honestly. The date, the time, the venue, who is teaching or performing, what a ticket includes and how many places there are all have to be true at the moment you publish.

Do not sell something you are not going to provide. Do not imply a headliner, a certification or an endorsement you do not have.

If an event breaks this, we can unpublish it or suspend the account. If we do, we will tell you why, and buyers are refunded in full.

8.Who is responsible for what

StudioPartner provides the software and the payment rail. You run the event.

The agreement to attend the event is between you and the attendee. We are not a party to it. We do not organise, host, staff, supervise or insure anything you run.

So a dispute about the event itself is between the attendee and you. That includes, and is not limited to: the event being cancelled or postponed, the venue changing, the teacher or artist changing, the event not being what was described, the standard of what was taught, anything that happens to a person or their belongings at your event, and the behaviour of anyone there.

You handle those, and you carry the cost of them. If someone brings a claim against us because of your event, you cover what it costs us to deal with it.

What we are responsible for is our own part: running the platform, listing your event as you published it, taking payment, and moving your share as described in these terms.

We work to keep the platform running and we do not promise it is never down. We are not responsible for failures at your venue, in your internet connection, or at a bank or payment provider.

9.Ending this

Either of us can end this arrangement, with notice.

If you end it, stop listing new events. Any event you have already sold tickets for, you either run or refund in full.

If we end it, we will give you notice first — unless there is fraud, a legal problem or a risk to buyers, where we can act straight away.

Payouts you have already earned still settle. Ending this does not cancel money owed to you.

It does not cancel what you owe either. Refunds and chargebacks on events you already ran still come back to you after the account is closed.

10.We don’t hold your money

Payments are collected and settled by our payment partner, Razorpay. StudioPartner is not a bank or an escrow service, and your money is never held in a StudioPartner account. Where section 2 says your share is held until your event is over, it is held by Razorpay.

11.Amounts you owe

Any amount you owe us under these terms or the online fee collection terms, including dispute fees, can be recovered from any of your online payments or payouts — event tickets or student fees — as described in section 2.

12.Closing your account

Closing or deleting your account doesn’t cancel an amount you owe. An account with an outstanding amount can’t be deleted until it’s cleared.

13.Suspending online collection

We may suspend online collection on your account if we suspect fraud or misuse, if your account has an unusually high number of disputes, if an amount you owe is unpaid, or if our payment partner requires it. We’ll tell you why.

15.Evidence for disputes

You allow us to share the records needed to answer a dispute — the booking, the payment and the check-in record — with our payment partner and the bank.

16.Limits of our responsibility

We’re not responsible for outages, delays or decisions of Razorpay, banks or WhatsApp, including a KYC rejection or a hold on your funds. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the platform fees we earned from you in the 3 months before the claim. For these services, this replaces section 8 of the Terms of Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects fees, payouts or refunds, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Continuing to sell tickets through StudioPartner after that means you accept the updated terms. Tickets already sold stay under the terms that applied when they were sold.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction.
